Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan met with Andreas Eriksen, Minister of Climate and Environment of Norway.
During the meeting, they discussed the continued expansion of environmental cooperation between the two countries, including joint initiatives aimed at biodiversity conservation, climate stability, and reducing environmental risks.
They reviewed the progress of ongoing programmes and the mechanisms designed to ensure the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of the partnership.
Armenia–Norway cooperation has a strong foundation, one of the key milestones being the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in September 2025 in New York within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
Together with Andreas Eriksen, they reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation, take joint steps to adequately address environmental challenges, strengthen scientific potential, and present the shared agenda more effectively on international platforms.
